The Little Gypsy Girl Who Sang With The MoTab For Her Birthday
For Grandma Barbara's birthday, she got to sing with the MoTab. I don't think I could say this any better than Christina, so check out her blog to read this awesome post about Grandma Barbara's birthday party/MoTab experience. I love you, Grandma! You're the best!
Now, In Christina's post, she asks: "What is a Gutke family gathering without singing the Gypsy Girl song?" which leads me to the rest of this post:
At Grandma's birthday party, she told a little about how the Gypsy Song "came over on the boat" with her great grandparents, James and Mary Johnson. Many of the traditions we have in our family came from them (they came from Denmark) so I thought I'd do a little research about the Gypsy Song in particular. Here are some interesting things I found:
Enjoy!

Okay, so I am no camera man, but that one of "Dwight" playing the song cracked me up. He never showed his hand that is actually strumming. So it could be fake for all we know. Then, when he is trying to look into the camera at the end he obviously doesn't know where the lens is.
But, whatever, that is funny that you were able to find the song.
Dianne, you are awesome. Thanks for the information about the Gypsy Girl song. I hope to hear the first recording. I don't know what I did wrong. It's interesting to know that other people enjoy our song too.
Good research, Dianne--I enjoyed all the renditions of the Gypsy Girl.
Very interesting! Thanks for researching that out for us. :)
Thanks for the fun post. Our version is the best!
That was awesome. Thanks for sharing Dianne!
