True Story (as told by a 5 year old)
I have two versions of this story. Here's the real one first:
We have some neighbors across the street who have two very large dogs, and one is a pit bull. About two weeks ago, a jogger ran by and was attacked by the pit bull. It jumped up and bit the back of her arm, leaving her shaken and needing bandages. I'm fairly certain it didn't require stitches. But Animal Control was contacted and the dog was placed under quarantine. As far as I can figure, that means that is has to be chained up when it is outside, which it should have been anyway. So now we're cautiously aware of the situation and hope for no more incidents.
Now, here's the version Jessi told two of her friends when we were driving home for a playdate:
Jessi: There's these neighbors across the street, and they have a "pimple" and one day it sneaked up on a lady and bited her in the arm and now it has to stay on a chain.
Ben: What's a "pimple"?
I love it! I told Jessi and her friends it was really a pit bull (emphasizing the "t" and the "b"), but she still calls it a "pimple". Kind of like the Hannah Montana song Jessi claimed was about the candy--you know the one--"I Got Nerds".

3 people had this to say::
I love it! What are we going to do when our kids get too big to stop saying cute things and telling their own hilarious versions of stories?
Very funny! 5-year-olds are so great. :)
Great story! I love kid versions of stories. So cute!
