The Living Planet Aquarium

A couple of weeks ago, we decided to take a trip to SLC to the aquarium. Now, I know that the Salt Lake area is not necessarily a hotbed for marine activity, but the aquarium there was pretty fun. We enjoyed looking at the jellyfish, touching the starfish, sea urchins, and sting rays, and watching the tiger shark. The most interesting to us all was the coral reef display. It was amazing to see how many animals were hiding and lurking around in there. Thanks, Grandma for taking us! Here are some highlights from the outing.
Ali touching a sting ray.

Davis touching a sting ray.

Jessi touching a sting ray.

We enjoyed the jellyfish. I have to confess to using flash photography here, although it was an honest-to-goodness accident. I thought I had turned the flash off. At least they didn't kick me out a la Dad at the U.S. Senate building. THAT was embarrasing.

We loved the aquarium!

And I thought we had to travel all the way to Monteray, Ca. to an aquarium!
Looks like fun, we'll have to check it out sometime.
See you guys Friday.

That sounds like so much fun I know that my kids would love that. I am dying to hear about the senate building story. That sounds like a doozy.
PS Thank you for your suggestions on painting. i am for sure going to call when I motivate myself enough to start the project.
