The Haircut

A few weeks ago, Jessi decided to cut her own hair. She's the first of my kids to try that approach to getting a haircut, and it worked. Here she is getting her hair fixed by Jayme. It actually wasn't too bad before, she pretty much gave herself layers because she cut off the ends of her braids, but Jayme cleaned it up anyway.

Here's a lovely "after" shot with her cousin, Leah.

Then, after the haircut, the cousins went sledding in our front yard.

I love the look on her face while her hair is being fixed! She looks less than thrilled.

Your hair looks great, Jessi!

I can't believe she is the first of your kids to cut their own hair. Three of my four kids and all of Burns and Brenda's kids cut their own hair. You are lucky it wasn't too short. She still looks adorable. She is a beautiful child. Aunt Kathryn

I was helping Eva clean her room and opened up a little box and found pieces of hair of about 5 different toys and animals. I should have taken a picture. I guess that is better that her own hair.

That picture on the sled is just awesome.
